Leidy Churchman

Last weekend, I rode my bike to P.S.1 to see Greater New York. Before going, I had read a bad review in the Village Voice. And, overall, I found many things lacking craft. (even the un-crafted should be built precisely!) Needless to say, this made the notable piece noted.

A favorite was Leidy Churchman. Fortunately, tonight I was at the opening of “Heads or Tails” at Mary Ryan Gallery and Leidy had a piece. I was happy to see more of his work. I love the primitive quality, colors, and subjects – cats and bearded gays. Here’s a small write up about him in T Magazine.
